The "ROCK IN A HARD PLACE" era was the single greatest singularity in AEROSMITH history. Here is a shocking, superb soundboard album that will fill your brain with the precious live performances of that era! The recording on this album is the "March 4, 1983 Augusta concert". AEROSMITH was a band with few member changes, which is rare in the history of rock music, but "few" does not mean "zero". ROCK IN A HARD PLACE" featured "Jimmy Crespo/Rick Dufay" on guitar in place of Joe Perry/Brad Whitford. This is a superb soundboard from an era when even such audience recordings were rare. This is a good opportunity (though a bit long) to take a bird's eye view of the history of "AEROSMITH not the original band. 1979 《June: Joe leaves -> Jimmy Crespo joins》・June 30 - October 7: North America #1a (6 shows) 《November 16: "NIGHT IN THE RUTS" released》・November 2: "ROCK IN A HARD PLACE" released Nov. 2-Dec. 28: North America #1b (11 shows) 1980 Jan. 10-Dec. 3: North America #2 (28 shows) 1981 [July: Brad leaves -> Rick Dufay joins] 1982 [Aug. 27: "ROCK IN A HARD PLACE" released] Oct. 31-Dec. 30: North America #3a (31 shows) Oct. 31-Dec. 30: North America #3a (31 shows), 1983 Jan. 4-Mar. 5: North America #3b (31 shows) ←★★★★★, April 21-May 30: North America #4 (9 shows), July 23-Aug. 12: North America #5 (10 shows), Oct. 30: Providence, RI, Dec. 28-31: North America #6a (3 shows) 1984, Jan. 6-Feb. 17: North America #6b (7 shows) 《May: Joe/Brad return》 This was the five-year period between the collapse of Olimen and its revival. All the shows were in North America only, and it was like a short mini-tour with a haircut. North America #3" was the only large-scale tour among them, with over 60 parks. The Augusta show in this film was the second to last concert of the tour. This is a shockingly superb soundboard recorded at such a show. The source of this album is a 14-inch master that was leaked from the "Record Plant". The "Record Plant" is a legendary studio that has produced a series of masterpieces from "GET YOUR WINGS" to "NIGHT IN THE RUTS". As if to prove the venerable identity of this studio, a thick and powerful core of sound invades your brain and fills your head with live music. The mix may be too raw to be called "fully official," but when AEROSMITH is the master of the performance, it is not a flaw but a beauty. Moreover, when it comes to the era of extreme rarity, no matter how raw it is, it is never "too much. To be honest, we dared to remaster the recording for the ultimate result, but there was little we could do to change it (the stereo feeling of the opening part of the performance was not right, so we corrected that). The soundboard is that powerful. Moreover, this film allows you to experience the full show in such superb quality. In fact, the Augusta show soundboard ends in the middle of the drum solo, but the following two songs are complemented by the soundboard of the South Yarmouth show the next day. This supplemental part, like the main part, is also a leaked master from the "Record Plant" and its quality is very similar to the main part. With the addition of these two songs, the complete set has been recreated. Now, let's check out the full set from the extremely rare era. Dark Night Heavy Rock (4 songs) - Big Ten Inch Record / Sweet Emotion / Walk This Way / Toys In The Attic (*) Others (9 songs) - Birth Of The Beast: Mama Kin / Dream On / Fly! Aerosmith: Lord Of The Thighs/Train Kept A Rollin' (*), Rocks: Back In The Saddle/Lick And A Promise/Others: Milk Cow Blues/Three Mile Smile/Lightning Strikes *. Note: "*" marks are bonus South Yarmouth recordings. You can find this at ....... It seems that there were many "ROCK IN A HARD PLACE" in the early part of the tour, but this album is the last one, and the only new song is "Lightning Strikes". We cannot hope for precious songs, but on the other hand, the ensemble that portrays the classics is completely different. The soundboard of this album allows us to clearly enjoy the breathing feeling of the twins. This is a superb soundboard that should be released as a deluxe edition with "ROCK IN A HARD PLACE". This is a hidden treasure that has been stored in the original "record plant". Stereo soundboard recording of the March 4, 1983 Augusta concert. This is a 14-inch master leaked from the legendary "Record Plant" studio, and the sound quality itself is of official quality, while the direct connection is super raw.
