The 2015 Boz Scaggs concert in Japan. Here is the complete audience album of the Tokyo show. This year's show in Japan was also very popular, but the Tokyo show was especially popular and tickets sold out in no time. The original plan was for two shows, but an additional show was announced. First, let's take a look at the eight shows that Boz performed in 2015, which blew through the archipelago. Sendai: June 5, Electron Hall Miyagi Sapporo: June 8, Nitori Bunka Hall (71st birthday) Tokyo: June 10, Bunkamura Orchard Hall [Disc 1 & 2] Tokyo: June 11, Bunkamura Orchard Hall [Disc 3 & 4] Osaka: June 13, Amashin Archaic Hall Nagoya: June 15, Nagoya City Public Hall Kanazawa: June 16, Honda no Mori Hall Tokyo: June 18, Bunkamura Orchard Hall [Disc 5 & 6] Thus, the three days of "Bunkamura Orchard Hall" are recorded in this work, including additional performances, Tokyo All of the performances, including additional performances, are vacuum-packed on 6 CDs with superb sound. The recordings were made by a skilled and renowned taper who has worked with a variety of artists on their masterpieces. The most recent masterpiece is Jeff Beck's "TOKYO DOME CITY HALL 2014" (6CD set), which sold out instantly. As with this super classic, we were provided with a 24-bit high-resolution master and carefully remastered it to create a supreme version of a contemporary auditorium recording. When disc 1 is played, the audience announcement before the show begins, "...... will turn off the lights. Please check the position of the doors in advance and follow the instructions of the staff in case of emergency. ......". Then, as Boz appeared on stage, the applause spread smoothly like a gentle autumn rain, and a sense of tension took over the venue, as if even a single cough would bother the audience. Even for those who have not actually been there, a sense of presence filled the audience as if the scene of Orchard Hall was spreading before their eyes. Such realistic atmosphere is vacuum-packed from the good position of the 12th row in the center of the first floor. Then, with a soft "Good evening," the performance began. The applause earlier alone foreshadowed the excellence of the sound, but the actual performance turned the premonition into a real feeling. The soft but firm bass, velvety smooth mids, and clearly contoured but never jarring high notes. Bozu's voice fills the transparent space of the venue with a faint reverberation. ...... Orchard Hall is the only place, the latest digital equipment is the only reason, and a skilled taper is the only reason to achieve this elegant sound. The soft and delicate sound, which is never possible with official works or soundboards, leaks out of the speakers and fills the room. This is the true joy of spatial recording. Why are we attracted to such a peculiar culture as "audience recording"? Why do tapers take the time and effort to record and why do they want to preserve it forever? It is because this is the best part. The soundscape that unfolds when you close your eyes, and the feeling that the air at that site was trembling. Because we want to feel it again and again, because we want to leave it behind, and because we want to tell someone (who will understand). What flows out of this album is a superb audience sound that reminds us of these feelings. The show was filled with such a sound, and the audience was treated to a slow and steady stream of old and new classics. In the first half of the show, songs from the R&B-tinged "MEMPHIS" and the new "A FOOL TO CARE" were performed with a more AOR sound, interspersed with more popular songs such as "Jojo. The gradually warming atmosphere of the venue changed with "Georgia. The atmosphere quickly became heated, and the following song, "Miss Sun," featured an excellent combination with the black chorus member, Miss Monette. During the mid-song scat, the vocalization is so brilliant that the audience erupts in applause, leading to a heated exchange with Boz. The audience kept quiet, but the tension was so great that you could almost feel the sweat on your palms in the silence. As if to prove it, a loud cheer bursts out, as if they cannot wait for the end of the song. Miss Monet sings solo on "Until You Come Back To Me," and Boz supports her on guitar. He has been performing with Miss Monet for a long time, and his vocalization of the classic songs known by Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin is truly wonderful. The middle two songs are probably the highlights of the show, and although this is where we switched discs for all three days, there is a bit of a reason why we chose this point for the disc split. The second half of the show is a parade of hits from the classic "Silk Degrees" album, including a new song "There's a Storm Coming" as the first encore, but other than that, the rest of the songs are all from "Silk Degrees", including "Harbor Lights", "Lowdown", "Lido", "Shuffle", and "What Can I Do". Shuffle," "What Can I Say," and "We're All Alone" from SILK DEGREES. It was impossible not to get excited. In fact, the excitement of the audience was building up. The concept of this work was to divide the three days of the festival into "the first half of the show," which featured "masterpieces with a sharp tempo," and "the second half," which featured "masterpieces. The basic setlist is the same on the second and third days in Tokyo, but the show will end with a cool down with a new song "Last Tango on 16th Street" as the last song of the second encore (it is not cool at all: lol). The second day, the mood was more relaxed, but the enthusiasm was even hotter. The third day, an additional show that returned to Tokyo after a one-week absence, was a performance that conveyed a sense of relief at having completed a two-week Japan tour. It was recorded from the fourth row on the first floor, even closer to the audience than on the first and second days. This is the definitive recording of the three days in Tokyo at the same venue, with the same taper, and with the same equipment. The long rainy season is chilly and depressing, but this six-disc set will soothe such moods with its gentle voice. Whether you listen to it slowly one day at a time or leave it playing, it is 5 hours and 4 minutes that will gradually heat up the core of your body. This is a masterpiece of actual concert recordings, created by a combination of master craftsmanship, modern technology, and Boz's voice. We hope you will keep in your collection the voice of Boz, who came to Japan three years ago at the age of 71.
