The live performance at the US Festival in 1983, when the band was at the peak of their popularity in Japan with the big hit "Let's Dance" and the movie "Merry Christmas in the Battlefield," has been recorded in its entirety from soundboard masters recently uploaded on the Internet. The complete live performance from the 1983 US festival, which was the peak of the band's popularity in Japan, is recorded from soundboard masters that have been recently uploaded on the Internet and leaked by related parties. Bowie was suddenly scheduled to appear at the beginning of the "Serious Moonlight Tour," which started in Europe at that time, and appeared as the headliner on May 30 out of the three days of the tour. However, even though U2, the Clash, Van Halen, and others also appeared at this festival and were broadcast on TV at the time, for some reason there was no video recording of Bowie alone, making this soundboard recording of the concert extremely rare. The opening and composition of the setlist is quite different from the setlist that would become the standard setlist later on, and the key point is that it is festival-specific, featuring many of Bowie's best-known numbers.
