A special 50th anniversary edition of the legendary "Ziggy Japan Tour," an archive collection of Bowie's first visit to Japan in 1973, all of which have been restored with the latest mastering in 2023 based on remaining live recordings. This is a complete collection of the live archives of Bowie's legendary first visit to Japan in 1973, including the four Tokyo shows from the first day at Shinjuku Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan to the final show at Shibuya Kokaido, as well as the four shows in Nagoya, Hiroshima, Kobe and Osaka, all based on the best quality masters that still exist, and remastered using the latest equipment in 2023. The four Tokyo concerts up to the final performance at Shibuya Kokaido were compiled here after remastering using the latest equipment in 2023. Disc 1 is a rare recording of the April 12 show at Nagoya City Public Hall, where Bowie himself was so enthusiastic that he dived into the audience during "Suffragette City". Disc:2 is the April 14 performance at the Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall, where the audience was even more enthusiastic than at the Nagoya show. Disc:3 is the April 16 performance at the Kobe International Conference Hall, where the second half of "Five Years" was recorded, but "Round and Round" was performed for the first time as an encore. The second half of the disc was recorded on the following day, April 17 at Osaka International Hall. The second half of the disc is the Osaka Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan concert on April 17, also incomplete, especially the first half of "John I'm Only Dancing," but the sound quality is poor, and the second half of "Gene Genie" and after are replaced by recordings from other sources that are easier to hear. The last disc, Disc :4, contains an alternate recording of the April 8 Tokyo opening night performance, which was previously recorded as an analog boot. Although the original recording is incomplete, starting with a fade-in and ending with a fade-out, it is a different source from the complete recording on Disc 1&2, and the original source is of such excellent quality that it was initially mistaken for a soundboard overseas, and has been remastered with pitch correction and noise reduction.
