The live performance of Dire Straits led by Mark Knopfler at Seineken Hall Tokyo in Japan on April 3, 1983 is recorded. This was their first visit to Japan as a promotional tour for the release of "Love Over Gold," their first album in Japan, but the band's popularity in their home country of the U.K. has remained strong, and perhaps because they are about to achieve worldwide stardom in Japan with this Japan tour, they were very excited. The tension is high, and Mark Knopfler's play is uncanny. The Japanese audience was thrilled by the diastolate's unique melody lines, which made for a wonderful concert. The composition of the concert was a very enjoyable mix of old and new hits. The sound quality is the Audience recording, but it has been remastered and is remarkably clear.
