To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of The Rolling Stones' ``Tattooed Man,'' which reached number 2 in the UK and number 1 in the US, a new expanded version of the multi-format version has been released!

The 40th anniversary edition of The Tattooed Man includes remasters of the album's original 11 songs, including "Hang Fire," "Waiting for a Friend" (featuring jazz saxophone great Sonny Rollins), and, of course, "Start Me Up," which has become one of the band's signature songs since its release.

``The Tattooed Man (40th Anniversary Edition)'' is the follow-up to their 1973 classic ``Goat's Head Soup,'' which was reissued in 2020 and topped the UK album charts. This is the second time a reissue of their unparalleled album has topped the charts in the UK, following their breakthrough 1972 album 'Thugs on Main Street', which reached number one on the deluxe edition in 2010.

The original The Tattooed Man, produced by the Glimmer Twins with Chris Kimsey, topped the charts in the United States (which went quadruple platinum), Canada, Australia, and most of Europe, and earned numerous gold and platinum albums around the world.
