In 1984, Nobu formed the group with Toshi, whom he met in college, and Shintaro, his junior from high school. The following year, Kenji joined the band, and they began their activities as a college band during the heyday of Japanese heavy metal. Focusing on their activities at live houses in Tokyo such as Shibuya Attic and Shinjuku Antinock, they sold out more than 200 cassette tapes at the now-defunct Shibuya metal specialty store Mandrake To, appeared on various media (TV, radio, magazines), and became a well-known group through their unique activities such as being the backing band for Junko Mihara, who was leasing Metal Abam at the time, but in 1987, the band was forced to disband due to the lack of employment of the members.
After about 30 years, the group was reunited in 2016 based on the desire of the members to "see what the future holds." At their revival live in Shimokitazawa in February, more than 100 people gathered in the small venue, and it was a huge success, almost running out of steam. With the encouragement of their support, we are currently developing live activities.
In order to deliver EPITAPH's music to more people, we released the CD "This Is The Mission" in May 2020 and the second CD "One Night Desire" in December 2021. ” released. With the goal of ``shaking the souls of as many people as possible,'' the sound is loud, and the songs are ``easy-to-understand HR/HM'' that even the first-time live audience can enjoy singing. For the generation that doesn't know about the 1980s, it is also an ``old and new'' reality that has suddenly come from the past.
