His second album in 1982, which was produced after his debut album Touch, which was an unmistakable masterpiece, but was never released at the time, became a phantom, and was titled "II" and included 4 bonus tracks and was released independently for the first time!
TOUCH appeared in Donington's first "Monsters Of Rock" in England in 1980, then returned to New York and began writing songs for their next album. Hiring hit maker Todd Rundgren as a producer, he aimed for a further leap forward, but he also produced songs such as Journey, Foreigner, Toto, and REO, which were popular at the time and were even considered industrial rock. A record company like Speedwagon, which demanded super-sellers, rejected the sound source, brought in Roger Glover (then of RAINBOW) for additional production, and even hired Bob Clearmountain, a representative engineer of the 80's, to remix it, but the company was still not satisfied and the album was never released. As you know, the disappointed band stopped its activities, and the members went on to pursue their own activities. Mark Mangold, the main character, provided songs to many artists including Michael Bolton, worked as a studio musician, and expanded his activities to include DRIVE, SHE SAID, etc. Since this paper jacket is the first solo release, the order of the songs has been changed significantly to match the release in Japan, four bonus tracks are included, and the artwork has been completely redesigned. The songs included are dramatic, catchy, and have spectacular choruses that are comparable to the debut album, and are of the highest standard of American progressive rock. Why wasn't it released? ? All I can say now is that it was a trick of fate.
