Waltari is a Finnish mixture rock band that is also known for its creator guitarist Sami Uli Cirniyo. Debuted with the album "Monk-Punk" in 1991. Their funky mixture style, reminiscent of Red Hot Chili Peppers, has attracted a lot of attention. Since then, they have captivated the hearts of enthusiasts around the world with their free-spirited style that greedily incorporates everything from metal, funk, punk to industrial. In recent years, they have adopted an unusual composition of 7 members, including 4 guitar players, and are showing a heavy approach. Their latest album ``Global Rock'' in 2020, which was released for the first time in five years, was also released in Japan, and it is still fresh in the memory that it became a big topic of conversation.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Waltari's album debut. They were originally planning an anniversary tour, but the world is in the midst of a pandemic. So, we suddenly changed our plans and decided to release a 30th anniversary album. Titled ``Third Decade - Anniversary Edition,'' the album features re-recordings of carefully selected tracks from Waltari's past albums. But that's about Waltari. It can't end up being just a re-recorded album. Gorgeous artists and bands such as former Nightwish member Marco Hietala, Korpicrani's Jonne Järvela, Lordi, and Eläkeläiset participate in each song. And it's not just a guest appearance. Waltari's attitude is, ``We are just backing musicians. We let each artist interpret the songs in their own way.'' Therefore, through the filter of his fellow musicians, Waltari's free-spirited songs acquire even more freedom. Although this album is a best-of album in that it contains the best songs, it can be said that it has acquired a completely new level of creativity. This is a wonderful album worthy of commemorating the 30th anniversary of the special band called Waltari. Ideal as an introduction to Waltari.
