50th anniversary 2CD deluxe edition of The Band's fourth studio album "Kahoots" released in 1971.

Like previous 50th anniversary editions of The Band, this edition of Kahoots was supervised by main songwriter Robbie Robertson. Featuring a new stereo mix created by Bob Clearmountain from the original multi-track master tapes. It contains many unreleased recordings, including a live recording recorded at the Théâtre Olympia in Paris in May 1971. This is the official bootleg recording of The Band's successful European tour, and consists of 11 songs recorded as part of an intense concert. You can also hear early and alternate versions of ``Endless Highway'' and ``When I Write a Masterpiece,'' as well as early takes, outtakes, instrumental versions, and reduced mixes of six songs.

``Kahoots'' peaked at number 21 on the US Billboard magazine album chart. This is The Band's fourth consecutive top 30 album. Although half a century has passed since its release, the album is still highly regarded as a masterpiece, and the new stereo mix and surround mix have a fresh finish that brings the content of the album even more vividly to life, both for longtime fans and for listeners experiencing The Band's music for the first time.
