NWOBHM's legendary band "Saxon" has finally released their 23rd new album created with Andy Sneap!

Among the heavyweights who survived NWOBHM with Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, etc., the British treasure "Saxon", who is honestly pushing forward on the royal road of heavy metal, has completed his overwhelming 23rd new album, created with Andy Sneap, a major producer of the moment and guitarist of Judas Priest!
This is the band's first original album in 4 years since 2018's ``Thunderbolt'', which included the band's first cover album ``Inspirations'' released last year.It is a new masterpiece produced by the original members Biff Byford (vocals) and Paul Quinn (guitar) who have remained the same since drummer Nigel Glockler returned in 2005! The album's title, "Carpe Diem," is a Latin word that appears in a poem by the 1st century BC Roman poet Horatius, meaning "seize the day, live today, enjoy this moment." This is not only a powerful statement from the band, but also an expression of Biff's own firm determination, as he developed the song from his hospital bed after suffering a heart attack in 2019. Their works are energetic power metal that follows styles from the heyday to recent years, and while retaining the atmosphere of the 80's, they push forward with a riff-centered steel style that can confidently compete in the modern metal scene!
The album includes a total of 10 songs, including the album's title track "Carpe Diem (Seize the Day)", which combines Biff's unique and convincing vocals with aggression and drama! As a guest on the album, Biff's beloved son Sev, who is also a singer and active in HEAVY WATER (Biff also belongs to B), will serve as the backing vocalist. Furthermore, the Japanese version includes a live track!
The band held a live show to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their classic live album ``The Eagle Has Landed'' on January 28th and 29th early in the new year, accompanied by Uriah Heep, Girlschool, and Diamond Head.
In 2022, Saxon will create a new legend with their new album “Carpe Diem”!
