Tokyo Blade, an important band during the NWOBHM period, releases their 10th and most powerful new album less than two years after their previous album Dark Revolution!
Formed in Salisbury, England in 1980 when the NWOBHM scene was just beginning, they changed their names a few times before making their shocking debut in 1983 with the song "Tokyo Blade"! The band was supposed to be a big hit the following year, but the usual management intervention troubles broke out, Alan Marsh left the band, and Vic Wright joined as lead vocalist, forcing them to rework the album. This is why there are two types of "Night of the Blade". These works were also released in Japan, attracting not only discerning metal enthusiasts but also general rock fans who liked hard, melodic music. After that, there were many twists and turns in the story (this is detailed in the liner of the previous work, including how to count the total number of albums), but anyway, 40 years have passed, and now, with original vocalist Alan Marsh as the front voice, the band is in the best condition ever in the band's history and is pushing through the classic hard rock & metal scene!
Band leader Andy Boulton said, ``While some people have stopped playing music or found other hobbies during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we in TOKYO BLADE have focused more on music and written new songs one after another! That's what we can focus on the most and is our driving force. Regardless of the reason for the creation, we are most hopeful that our fans will enjoy our music!!''
