Insight, a groove metal band led by Richie Cavalera whose stepfather is Max Cavalera (Soulfly, ex-Sepultura, etc.), has signed a contract with Atomic Fire and will release a new album! The groovy style based on old school thrash is a big hit with Pantera fans!
Insight is a groove metal band from Arizona. The vocalist is truly a child of groove metal. His name is Richie Cavalera. You can probably guess by that last name. Yes, his mother is Gloria Cavalera. She is the wife and manager of Max Cavalera (Soulfly, former Sepultura, etc.). Max becomes a stepfather to Richie. That's why Richie has been immersed in metal since he was in his mother's womb. Furthermore, when he was a child, he modeled for the jacket of Arizona thrash metal band Atrophy's second album ``Violent by Nature'', so his elite demeanor is no wonder! This is a long introduction, but Insight, led by Richie, was formed in 2004 and has released five albums so far: ``The Slaughter'' (2009), ``All Out War'' (2012), ``Up in Hell'' (2014), ``Oppression'' (2016), and ``Built to Destroy'' (2019).
They have recently signed a contract with Atomic Fire Records and will release their sixth album, ``Wake Up Dead.'' If I had to describe Insight's style in one word, it would be like the missing link between Machine Head and Lamb of God. The style, which is based on old school thrash, is a big hit with Pantera fans. Absolutely aggressive, heavy and groovy. Richie says, ``This is exactly the sound of Insight that I wanted. We were able to create a mature work without losing the aggression of the early days.'' It's a great album, and it's no surprise that he is confident.
