Californian skacore band 8 Caracas has signed with Atomic Fire and is releasing their third album! Featuring trumpet and trombone players, their playing style is a fusion of Latin and South American music such as mariachi and cumbia, and heavy music, making it a new generation of metal for the 21st century!
8 Caracas (Ocho Caracas) is a skacore band from California. There may not be many people who have heard of their names. However, it was formed in 2003, and its history spans nearly 20 years. To date, he has released two albums, ``8 Kalacas'' (2012) and ``Kill the Radio'' (2014). They have now signed a contract with Atomic Fire Records and will be releasing their third album, ``Frontiers''.
Many people may be wondering, "What is Skacore?" in the first place. Their sound could be described as ``the frenzy of System of a Down, the heaviness of Slipknot, the explosive energy of Social Distortion, mixed together, multiplied tenfold and given a Mexican twist.'' It may not make much sense, but the music they play is heavy, aggressive, and catchy, consisting of two vocalists, guitar, bass, drums, and trumpet and trombone. The encounter between heavy music and Latin American music such as mariachi and cumbia is the sound of a new generation of metal. Whenever I listen to it, I feel uplifted and feel energized.
