Poland is now one of the extreme metal powerhouses. Decapitated can be said to be a big name following Vader and Behemoth. Brothers Vogg (G) and Vitek (Dr) were 16 and 12 years old (!) respectively when they formed in 1996, so they were nothing short of child prodigies. After releasing two demos, they made their album debut with ``Winds of Creation'' in 2000. Their style, which incorporated influences from Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Bay Area thrash, and even Polish heroes KAT, made a huge impact on the death metal world. In the end, they were spotted by Vader's management and signed with Yearache, the biggest home base in the death metal world at the time. Its name will spread throughout the world. However, in 2007, Decapitated suffered a major tragedy. Vitek died due to an accident during the tour. The loss of his brother Vitek, who was a member of the band and who he cherished above all else, left Vogg deeply traumatized, and Decapitated was forced to take a hiatus for several years. However, two years later, the band was revived to carry on Vitek's wishes. He also visited Japan in 2012 and 2019. Decapitated will release their 8th new album, ``Cancer Culture.'' It's been five years since ``Anticult'' in 2017, and fans' expectations are at an all-time high, but this work easily defies such pressure. Of course, the content is technical, fast, and brutal, which is the Decapitated style of death metal that fans want. In addition to masterfully digesting their roots in 80's thrash metal and death metal, they also show an ambitious side, featuring female vocals. The sound creation by the combination of Thomas Zalewski and David Castillo, an engineer known for his work with Carcass and Opeth, is also perfect. A must-listen for all death metal fans!
