Neil Young releases new live album dedicated to his late manager! ! This is a collaborative work with Promise of the Real, a band in which Willie Nelson's son is a member, and includes the 2019 European tour.

The film chronicles a nine-date tour that began just two weeks after Elliott Roberts, Neil Young's lifelong friend and manager for more than 50 years, passed away at the age of 76. By performing alongside a photo of Roberts on his road case, Young approached each performance as a celebratory ritual in memory of his late friend. The legendary singer-songwriter describes the journey as "amazing."

Neil Young said in the album's liner notes, "Playing in his memory made it one of the most special tours ever. We went on the road and captured his great spirit in every song. This music belongs to no one. It's in the air. Every note was played for Elliott, a great friend in music."

As a tribute to the manager who guided Young's career for more than half a century, Noise and Flowers draws from his extensive discography.

There's a good balance of time-honoured anthems ("Mr. Soul," "Helpless," "Rockin' in the Free World"), rarely-heard 70s songs ("Field of Opportunity," "On the Shore"), and 90s gems ("From Hank to Hendrix," "Slow Your Hatred Down"). Promise of the Real, a frequent backing band since 2015, effectively bridge the polarities of Young's sound.
