This is the first new work in 2 years since the previous work, which featured Marco Pastorino (vo) from Temperance and others, and sounded like Dream Theater's progressive metal!

Virtual Symmetry, a Swiss-based prog metal band that started in 2009 as a solo project by guitarist Valerio Ecil Villa, has released their third album in two years since 2020's "Exoverse" (RBNCD-1313)! In 2021, they will release a 4-disc limited live album “Exoverse Live” that includes a complete reproduction of “Exoverse”. After that, the production of this work went smoothly.

The previous work was a work full of topics, with many guests invited such as recording at Real World Studio owned by Peter Gabriel, mixing by Sacha Pete (AVANTASIA etc.), participation of keyboardist Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater, etc., but this work has kept the number of guests to a minimum and focused on the performance of the five members, led by leader Valerio.

For this new album, the band said they were conscious of adding new elements to their previous style. The first title track, “Virtual Symmetry,” clearly shows this. The song, which bears the name of his band, is a 20-minute masterpiece consisting of three parts. In addition, the compact melody of the commercial for "Come Alive", which was also produced as a leader song, shows an evolution from the previous work, and the other songs are also full of melodic and progressive numbers full of hooks. The lyrics express thoughts about the current world situation and send out a positive message. Another topic of this album is that the presence of lead singer Marco Pastorino is greater than in the previous album. Although he is a guitarist in his own band TEMPERANCE, in recent years he has expanded his activities as a vocalist using his overwhelming voice to include Bob Cationis (OUTLOUD, etc.)'s WONDERS, SERENITY's Georg Neuhauser's FALLEN SANCTUARY, and others. Pay attention to this work, which is sure to become a masterpiece of theirs and of European prog metal!
