Banco was formed in 1968 by the Nocenzi brothers, Vittorio (older brother) and Gianni (younger brother). Vocalist Francesco Di Giacomo joined in 1971, solidifying the lineup, and debuted with ``Banco First'' in 1972. Gained popularity as a progressive rock band representing Italy. Due to Giacomo's sudden death in 2014 and Vittorio's illness the following year, their activities were temporarily suspended, but they resumed their activities in 2016 with a new lineup. Currently, he continues to be active. This work is his 15th studio album since 2019, his first in about 3 years. A work commemorating the 50th anniversary of his debut with a grand concept of "returning to origins." The title ``Orlando'' refers to the epic poem ``Orlando Furioso'' by Ludovico Ariosto, an Italian poet who was active in the 16th century, and this ``story of love and adventure between a princess and a knight'' became a bestseller during the Renaissance. Banco has been playing songs inspired by this story since their debut album, and after 50 years, they have finally returned to their roots.
