Memoriam, carrying on the legacy of legendary death metal band Bolt Thrower, have released a new album. This time, of course, we'll be listening to good old UK death metal that's heavy, groovy, and full of crusty smells!

Bolt Thrower was one of the bands that graced the heyday of Yearache Records in the 90s. Hailing from the UK, they released unusually heavy albums such as ``Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness'' (1989), ``War Master'' (1991), and ``The IVth Crusade'' (1992). It stunned death metal enthusiasts around the world. They were so influential that they created a clone band called "Bolt Thrower Worship" around the world, but in 2015, drummer Martin Kearns suddenly passed away. Unfortunately, they disbanded in 2016.

This memorial is the inheriting of their genes. The vocalist is Carl Willetts, who was also the frontman of Bolt Thrower. Guitar: Benediction's Scott Fairfax. Bassist: Frank Healy of Sacrilege. The drummer is Spike T. Smith of Sacred Ridge. Since their formation in 2016, they have released albums at a pace unimaginable since their Bolt Thrower days, including ``For the Fallen'' (2017), ``The Silent Vigil'' (2018), ``Requiem for Mankind'' (2019), and ``To the End'' (21), and will release their fifth new album. This work is titled ``Rise to Power.'' This is the first album after transferring to Reaper Entertainment, and of course it's Memoriam again this time. This is what can only be described as UK death metal, making you listen to old school death. Heavy, groovy, and sometimes doomy. And this crust smell can only come from England. A must-listen for bolt thrower enthusiasts as well as old school death fans!

Continuing from last time, the mix was handled by Russ Russell, known for his work with Napalm Death, Amorphis, Dimmu Borgir, etc.
