Cyclone, ex HELLEN guitarist Yasumitsu Shimizu's long-awaited solo album!
Following "Wind From The East" (2015 1st) and "Burning Spirit" (2016 2nd), Yasumitsu Shimizu (G: Cyclone, ex HELLEN)'s long-awaited solo album is finally completed.
The project started as a result of a 25-year reunion with ex.Planet Earth's Yumi Yoshikoshi (Vo) (through SNS) and a rediscovery of Planet Earth's vast demo archive. Contains a total of 9 gems that were completed through a process in which two teams were formed to complete the songs, considering the necessity of each song.
“Blue Sky”, which follows the magnificent introduction “Re-Awake”, is a heavy hard rock tune with a keyboard arrangement, and Yoshikoshi’s energetic shout at the ending is also impressive. The next song, “Todome no Ichigeki,” is a heavy number with great vocal effects. "Galaxy Paradicse" is filled with bluesy phrases, and the dynamic guitar play and Yoshikoshi's ever-changing vocals catch your attention. “Tada Dakette” is a superb melodious hard tune, with the melancholy melodies of the guitar and vocals standing out. ``The beginning of love called ``Sayonara'''' is based on a powerful guitar sound, and is a great song with a bold keyboard arrangement. The melodic ballad "Lonely Eyes" is a fateful number that was rediscovered from Planet Earth's demo archives, with Yoshikoshi's vocals showing off her lustrous side. The instrumental ``Nomad,'' which evokes the vastness of the land, evokes nostalgia with its simple arrangement and carefully crafted instrumentation. Additionally, the album's last instrumental song, ``Raion'', is used as the official theme song for Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling: Mika Iwata.
This is an all-out solo album that combines a wide variety of songs with Shimizu's guitar sense.
