ANTHEM is an orthodox heavy metal band representing Japan. In 2019, they simultaneously released the album ``NUCLEUS'' worldwide, which was newly recorded with the current lineup and added English lyrics to songs selected from previous albums. Four years have passed since then, and ANTHEM has completed their long-awaited new album. Titled "CRIMSON & JET BLACK". This is a new song with all English lyrics, and will be released simultaneously worldwide this time as well.

ANTHEM held two anniversary tours in 2021: revenge for their 35th anniversary tour, which was postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and ``ANTHEM vs ANTHEM 2001'' to commemorate their 20th anniversary. In 2022, ANTHEM will enter a ``new chapter'' and begin work on an original album that will be released worldwide. Originally, the new album was scheduled to be recorded in the spring of 2022 and released by the end of the year, but due to leader Naoto Shibata's decision that ``I don't think there are enough new songs of sufficient quality yet,'' the schedule has been reset and recording will take place from summer to fall of 2022. As before, Shibata will be the producer, but Jens Bogren, who mixed and mastered ``NUCLEUS,'' is also listed as co-producer this time.

"CRIMSON & JET BLACK" is their first original album in six years since 2017's "ENGRAVED," and their 17th in total. This is their 10th album since their reunion in 2001, and their 3rd album with their current strongest lineup. ANTHEM in the 21st century has always set the goal of ``making their latest work the best masterpiece,'' and they have definitely achieved that goal this time as well. It's a powerful sound that could be anything other than ANTHEM, and it's also fresh. The quality of the recorded songs is one of the highest in the world. In the current heavy metal scene, ANTHEM has once again proven through their work that they are one of the top bands in the world. Witness the “new chapter” of ANTHEM, which will take a further leap forward with this masterpiece!
