NARNIA is a melodic metal master who was formed in 1996 and has been active for 27 years. The Swedish band that showed the future of metal has taken an exciting new step forward with this new album. Ghost Town, their ninth studio album in four years, goes beyond the genres of neoclassical metal, power metal, and melodic metal.

While introducing progressive, modern, heavy textures, and other elements, the overall structure is well-balanced between classic and melodic metal. Original member guitarist and producer CJ Grimmark is a key figure in the band's sound, and together with singer Christian Lillegren and bassist Jonatan "Jono" Samuelsson, he creates outstanding songs through well-crafted lyrics and melodies that form the basis of the band. The neoclassical opener "Rebel" will appeal to longtime fans, and straightforward songs like "Hold On," "Wake Up Call," and "Alive" will please listeners. In addition, the progressive rock-like "Descension" can find a clear common denominator that ties the whole thing together.

“Out Of The Silence” features Saviour Machine frontman Eric Clayton reciting in baritone opera. “Glory Daze,” perhaps the heaviest song on the album, is about Christian's own experience with “burnout.” The album covers a variety of topics, resulting in a new album that contains elements that rock fans can relate to, both musically and spiritually.
