The third reunion of KING KOBRA, the LA metal band led by Carmine Appice, one of the greatest drummers in rock history, after 10 years!
KING KOBRA, led by super drummer Carmine Appice, who is 76 years old and boasts a brilliant career including B,B&A with Cactus, Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck, and Rod Stewart, has released their third reunion album and their first new album in 10 years! Formed in 1984, when LA metal was at its peak, all members except Carmine were all beautiful young blondes. Not only did their visuals become a hot topic, their debut album the following year, ``Ready To Strike,'' which was not too light amid the heyday of LA metal and contained many masterpieces with strong melancholy, also became a hot topic. The band's second album in 1986 had a smash hit, ``Iron Eagle (Never Say Die),'' which became the movie's theme song, and things seemed to be going smoothly, but due to member changes, the band stalled, and they disbanded in 1988 after releasing their third independent album.
22 years later, in 2010, Carmine finally reunited the band with the addition of the original members, guitarists David Michael Phillips, Mick Sweda, bassist Johnny Rodd, and singer Paul Shortino, a talented singer who is recognized by everyone from Rough Cut and Quiet Riot. The following year, they released the album ``KING KOBRA'' bearing the band's name and were welcomed by the scene. After that, the band released the second reunion album ``KING KOBRA Ⅱ'' with the same members, and it seemed like they were going to continue their progress, such as performing live shows, but in 2023, after 10 years, they finally resumed their activities by releasing the third reunion album ``We Are Warriors''! In place of the two original members, the guitars for this album are Carlos Cavazo, famous as Quiet Riot's guitarist, and Rowan Robertson, who joined DIO at the age of 17 in the late 80's! With new blood, the band performed dynamic songs centered around Carmine's drums and Paul's vocals! Returned to the scene with a new masterpiece album!
