SKY EMPIRE, a British band that believes in dramatic sounds, has completed their second album in five years (their debut album in Japan). This latest work is sure to appeal to prog rock and metal fans from the 70s to 90s. In addition, it's a sound that will appeal to fans of new generation progressive rock artists like Tesseract, Haken, and Vola. This time, they welcomed Jeff Scott Thought (Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman, W.E.T., Sons Of Apollo) as a new vocalist, and his fantastic singing voice brought the album to even greater heights.

The band was formed in London in 2016, and their direction is guitar-based music with an emphasis on heavy melodicism. It emphasizes heavy and melodic riffs that pay homage to the late Dimebag Darrell, who had a great influence on guitarist Drazic. The band's inspirations range from classic progressive to metal and hard rock, including Deep Purple, Rainbow, Yes, Rush, Journey, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Dream Theater, and Symphony X.

They released their memorable first album “The Dark Tower” in 2018. However, soon after, vocalist Jordan Ivanov lost his life under tragic circumstances. Due to the death of their friend and bandmate, they decided to take a hiatus, but the band eventually resumed their activities with a new structure centered around Drazic. The vocals for the new album titled ``The Shifting Tectonic Plates of Power - Part One'' are performed by Jeff Scott Sort, an experienced American. It has been sublimated into a wonderful album that perfectly melodically combines dramatic progressive rock and metal.
