Skagallak, who emerged from Denmark in the mid-80s and left a big mark on the Nordic metal scene, has released a new work for the first time in 30 years!

Formed in 1985 in Kolding, Jutland, Denmark, the five-piece band centered around vocalist Torben Schmidt made their debut on the major Polydor label in 1986 with their debut album ``Skagarack.'' The PV for the album's song ``I'm Alone'' was played on European TV, and the album became a hit, gaining the band great recognition. Their second album, ``Hungry For A Game,'' released in 1988, was also a smash hit, and its positive and dashing songs were compared to fellow Scandinavian group EUROPE. In 1990, the band released their third album ``A Slice Of Heaven'', but sales stalled due to the grunge boom that was sweeping the era. In 1993, the band released their 4th album ``Big Time'' with a new lineup except for Torben, but it did not receive much attention and the band went on hiatus.

Sixteen years later, in 2009, they made a comeback by participating in a festival in their hometown of Denmark. In 2019, another 10 years have passed since then, and Torben finally started writing songs for SKAGARACK's new album. The song, which took a lot of time to compose during the coronavirus period, is a wonderful compilation of Toben's musical ideas from the past 30 years. Torben says, ``This album contains a lot of songs that were created following inspiration, so it's a mix of different types of songs.We didn't just aim for the same sound as the 80s, we wanted to incorporate more of a 70s vibe.I think you can feel the vibe of DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW, which were influences when we started playing music.'' Having said that, the sparkling melody typical of Scandinavia is still alive and well! Original member Jan Petersen (g) also fully participates! They have completed a melodic masterpiece album that will not disappoint their fans!
