A full-length Triumph self-cover acoustic album by Triumph's guitar and vocalist Rick Emmett!
Rick Emmett (vo.g.), singer and guitarist of TRIUMPH, Canada's world-famous 3-piece hard rock band along with RUSH, has released his first solo work in a while!
Rick released nine original albums as Triumph between 1975 and 1988, when he was active with Mike Levin (b,key) and Gil Moore (vo,dr), received numerous gold and platinum discs in Canada and the United States, was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2007, and the following year in 2008 at the Juno Awards, and finally reunited and performed at the Swedish Rock Festival. However, although the mood continued to thaw among the members, time passed without any new works including licks being created.
Rick, a craftsman, left the band after 1987's "Surveillance" and has continued his solo career to this day, with the exception of one reunion show. As a solo artist, Rick's first three solo albums showcased a contemporary musical style based on hard rock, but since then he has expanded his range further, exploring his own world as a guitarist with a musical style that extends to jazz, folk, classical, and country. The studio album that fans have been waiting for from such a unique artist, Rick Emmett, is finally here, featuring all the Triumph numbers! The song selection for this work generously showcases famous Triumph classics such as "Never Surrender", "Magic Power", "Fight The Good Fight", and "Lay It On The Line", and is carefully expressed with Rick's exquisite singing and guitar. Two songs have been added to the CD for a total of 12 songs. This is truly an album that will bring fans to tears!
