Jonah Tee and Eric Gronwall. If you are a Melloher fanatic, you are well aware that these two have left many achievements as members of H.E.A.T. However, Eric suddenly announced his withdrawal from H.E.A.T in 2020. Eric's departure from the band, who had made a huge contribution to the band's growth, came as a shock to the fans, as it was right after the release of their seminal album ``H.E.A.T II''. Furthermore, in the spring of 2021, Eric announced that he was undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Although the situation threatened to end his life as an artist, he persevered with treatment and announced in the fall of the same year that he had made a full recovery, much to the relief of his fans. While it was expected that his artist activities would be restricted for a while, he suddenly started the band NEW HORIZON with Yona and announced that they would release their debut album in early 2022. Fans were delighted to be able to hear the song again with this golden tag.
●Yonah produced most of the songs for her debut album "Gate Of The Gods," and he was also in charge of most of the instruments. Guests included H.E.A.T's Dave Daron (guitar), DYNAZTY's Love Magnusson (guitar), and DRAGONFORCE's Sam Totman (guitar). Most people expected it to be a melodic work similar to H.E.A.T., but when they opened the lid, it turned out to be a powerful melodic power metal piece that defied most expectations, surprising fans, but it was received with great acclaim for its incredible perfection.
●However, a further surprise awaited fans, as it was announced that Eric would be joining SKID ROW almost at the same time as the release of his debut album. Although it was a great pleasure for him to join the band he admired, as he had long declared his influence on them, it also meant the stagnation of NEW HORIZON, which had just started. In response to this situation, Yona decided to look for a new singer. In the end, Nils Moline of current DYNAZTY and AMARANTHE was chosen as the second generation. It was a natural choice to choose him, who is Swedish like Jonah and has extensive experience in both bands. Originally, the initial idea for this band was to have multiple singers, and Nils was one of them.
●This latest work produced with Nils is a pure melodic power metal work that is an extension of the previous work. His singing is as if he has been active in this band for decades, and he shows off his powerful and relaxed vocals like a fish out of water, and the album is completed as a work that embodies the aspirations of power metal fans.
