Scour, led by Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo, has signed with Nuclear Blast and released their long-awaited debut album! Their style is a strong mix of black metal atmosphere and grindcore aggression. Gary Holt from Exodus makes a guest appearance.

Philip Anselmo, the frontman of Pantera, is well known to all metal fans. An underground music enthusiast, he is also well known for his numerous side projects. Their range is incredibly wide, ranging from major music like Down to Superjoint Ritual and even primitive black metal like Christ Inversion and Viking Crown. This Scour is also one of Philip's projects. Formed in 2015, Scour has released multiple EPs. They have released their long-awaited first album ``Gold'' from Nuclear Blast.

Scour's style can be described as a mix of the atmosphere of black metal and the aggression of grindcore. There are a lot of short numbers of 2-3 minutes, but their aggressiveness is tremendous. It's so violent that after listening to the album, you feel exhausted. The backing staff for Phillip are also gorgeous, with members from Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, and more. It's no wonder that with so many members gathered together, it would come out like this. If you like black metal, grindcore, or even extreme metal, you can't miss listening to this!

Exodus' Gary Holt appears as a guest on guitar solo. Mastering was done by master Jens Bogren.
