Chemicide, a leading thrash metal band from Costa Rica, has released a new album. Big drums, heavy bass, sharp guitars, and excessive reverb. This work pursues the production of the late 80's, and is completely the thrash metal of that time!

Chemicide is a Costa Rican thrash metal band from Central America. Formed as Conqueror in 2006, changed name to Chemicide in 2008. Their album debut was ``Episodes of Insanity'' in 2015. Since then, they have consistently released albums such as ``The Act of Retaliation'' (2017), ``Inequality'' (2019), and ``Common Sense'' (22), making it known to metal enthusiasts around the world that Chemicide exists in Costa Rica. ``Common Sense'' was selected by the UK's Metal Hammer magazine as one of the top 10 thrash metal albums of 2022, along with Megadeth, Kreator and Destruction.

They signed a contract with France's Listenable Records and will release their first new album in three years. This work, titled ``Violence Prevails,'' is also a masterpiece with dynamics typical of Central America. ``What we were aiming for was production from the late 80's to early 90's.Big drums, heavy bass, sharp guitars, and excessive reverb,'' are there any thrash fans who can't get excited when they hear the words of leader Franky (G, Vo)? An over-the-top assortment of thrash metal that leaves you with no time to catch your breath. An incredible feeling of running. After all, the thrash of those days is still alive and well in Central and South America!

Destruction guitarist Martin Furia handled the mix/mastering. In addition to Discharge's classic song "Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing," it also includes covers of Metallica ("72 Seasons"!) and Los Crudos. Must listen if you like thrash!
