A "non-standard" metal band from Osaka that pursues a unique sound with high performance and expressive vocals. The band name has been changed to “Sheglapes” and their first 2nd full album has finally been completed!

In the summer of 2016, the group was convened and formed by the then booking manager at Nishikujo Brand New, Osaka's famous event: Metal Session. Initially, it was a planned band made up of a bunch of people, but after two sessions, they officially started their activities in January 2017 under the band name "THE SHEGLAPS".

With the backbone of each member having been active in the Kansai indie scene across a wide range of genres, they have continued to release high quality works from their formation to today, attracting attention from all quarters.

They are an up-and-coming metal band that has been hailed as ``substandard'' since their debut, with a fusion of expressive and transformative vocals and technical and powerful performances.Although their performance of playing a conch shell at the beginning of their live shows and their comical side because they are ``originated in Osaka'' are often featured, they continue to captivate many fans due to the gap between their highly technical skills and their performances that are as accurate as the sound source.

In January 2024, the band changed its name to “Sheglapes” and achieved further growth.

The long-awaited 2nd album "MOTHER" consists of a total of 10 songs with a story-telling that incorporates various tones and arrangements that transcend the boundaries of genre, including the lead song "Once Upon a Dream" based on "Sleeping Beauty". Although you can still feel the Sigre style of the past, it is packed with songs that give a more sophisticated impression. From the production style in which all members are involved in composing, to the fusion with arrangers/composers who are active in the Kansai region, the album incorporates many new attempts, resulting in a comprehensive album that both encompasses and surpasses their previous trajectory.
