21st century progressive music that updates the traditional progressive rock/musical palette and incorporates diverse and all-round inspiration from glittering electronics to post-rock to the structure of human consciousness!

◆An ambitious work of Steven Wilson's imagination, inspired by the "Overview Effect" that astronauts experience when looking back at the Earth from space.

◆Produced in my home studio from December 2023 to June 2024, creating a highly honed audio space in the space/atmos audio version. It is a unique progressive sound piece.

◆ Wilson's regular collaborators Craig Blundell (drums), Adam Holtzman (keyboards), and Randy McStein (guitar) participated in the recording.

◆XTC's Andy Partridge participates in the lyrics.

Wilson says of The Overview:

"This is a 42-minute journey based on the 'overview effect' that is said to occur when astronauts view the Earth from space. As they gaze at the Earth, they experience a cognitive transformation, often leading to an appreciation of its overwhelming beauty and a deep sense of connection to others and the Earth as a whole. However, all bodies... Not all experiences are necessarily positive. Some people see the Earth as it is, an insignificant part of the vast universe, and others see humanity as a troubled species. This album presents images and stories that reflect both the good and the bad of life on Earth."

2) DHL - On average it usually takes about 3-5 days by DHL Express
