Lawrence Archer is active again in the reunited GRAND SLAM! His solo album released only in Japan has been officially reissued as a 2-disc set!

Last year in 2024, he released his latest album “Wheel Of Fortune”. At the same time, GRAND SLAM's leader, composer/guitarist Lawrence Archer's ``Hit The Ground - Revisited-'', a revised version of his 2019 first album, was also released domestically (both on Rubicon Music). GRAND SLAM was a band started by Phil Lynott and Lawrence (ex-Stampede) after the dissolution of THIN LIZZY in 1984, and although they actively performed live, they could not get a record contract in the scene at the time and disbanded, and Phil passed away in 1986. In the midst of his grief, Lawrence embarked on this solo album, ``L.A.''.

Lawrence composed the song, and was in charge of the guitar and vocals, and drummer Zack Starkey (famous as the son of current THE WHO! Ringo Starr) and keyboardist Mark Stanway (Magnum/Grand Slam) participated in the recording, and it was released only in Japan in 1986. After that, the album became the ultimate must-have item for fans all over the world, and both CD and LP became extremely rare, and this continues to be the case even today.

Along with "L.A.," which will be reissued in Japan for the first time in 39 years, the album "L.A." under the name ARCHER/SCALLAN, which was produced as a unit with the permission and cooperation of Lawrence Archer himself, includes new songs from "L.A." with singer Peter Scanlan, who was active in SAMSON, Moritz, etc., recorded in 1987. 10 songs from ``Secrets'' and 2 unreleased instrumental songs created by Lawrence from 1989 to 1990 will be included on DISC 2, and will be released as a 2-disc set with a beautiful gatefold jacket!
