The Flower Kings, the legendary Scandinavian progressive rock band, have released a new album, ``Love,'' to commemorate their 30th anniversary!

It has been announced that the legendary Scandinavian progressive rock band The Flower Kings will release their 17th studio album ``LOVE'' on Friday, May 2, 2025 via Sony Music/Inside Out to commemorate their 30th anniversary.

Prior to the release of the album, the first single ``How Can You Leave Us Now!?'' (How Can You Leave Us Now!?) was released, and the music video was also released.

The Flower Kings were formed mainly by members who participated in Roine Stolt's solo album ``Flower King'' released in 1994. Since their official debut as a band in 1995 with Back in the World of Adventures, their musical legacy in the progressive rock renaissance is unparalleled, with 16 studio albums, numerous live albums, festivals and countless tour performances. They continue to be giants of melodic prog rock, full of creativity and vitality, cementing the kingship that their band name suggested 30 years ago.

This album includes the three original members Roine Stolt, Hasse Freberg, and Michael Stolt, Mirko De Maio, who joined when they restarted in 2019, and Lale Larsson, who was a guest keyboardist on the previous album, as official members, and is the first album with these five members, and their 17th studio album in total.

The sound is full of warmth and depth, thanks to Roine's use of analog vintage instruments and equipment, which he has been particular about in his last few albums, and departs from the norm of pursuing hit singles, using bell bottoms, Mellotron, Moog, phaser and flanger, and spectacular sound. The album embodies the essence of progressive rock from the late 60's to the early 70's, when creativity such as big songs was accepted, and it has a vintage atmosphere, classical and jazz to electronic music. It's a rich blend of influences, from music to movie soundtracks. With a running time of 75 minutes and a wide range of works from 12-minute epics to short 3-minute masterpieces, you'll hear plenty of The Flower Kings' experimental side and wild guitar and synth solos reminiscent of their early albums. The strongest members of the past have come together to create a powerful masterpiece!
