Magnum's legendary singer Bob Catley's trilogy with TEN's Gary Hughes has been reissued with a new paper jacket! !
His third solo album following "Tower" (1998) and "Legends" (1999) is reissued with a paper jacket with beautiful artwork by Rodney Matthews and bonus tracks! Following the previous two albums, this album is a masterpiece with Gary's music and production, and Vinnie Barnes (guitar)'s guitar.
MAGNUM announced its disbandment due to the passing of mainstay Tony Clarkin in 2024, and in January of this year, MAGNUM's The Voice, Bob Catley, toured the UK to pay tribute to Tony. ``Middle Earth'', which he released in 2001 with TEN's Gary Hughes, is being re-released with a bonus live track and beautiful new artwork by Rodney Matthews!
Like the previous two albums, this album was composed and produced by TEN's Gary Hughes, and Gary also participated as a player (keyboards and backing vocals). Continuing from the previous album, you can also enjoy the melancholy and exquisite guitar of TEN's Vinnie Barnes, as well as the playing of Steve McKenna and John Cooksey, who participated in the previous album. The album is a full-fledged concept album based on J.R.R. Tolkien's ``The Hobbit'' and ``The Lord of the Rings,'' and the world of emotional lyrics by Gary Hughes is also noteworthy. As for the songs, Bob's superb and convincing singing perfectly recreates the worldview of the album!
The bonus is the same as the previous work: ``Deep Winter'' and ``Fire And Ice'' from the official bootleg ``Live At Gods'' are included, allowing you to enjoy the passionate performances of the time.
