★Testament, a band representing the thrash metal mecca of the Bay Area, has released their first album in five years.

San Francisco, the mecca of thrash metal. One of the bands that represents the so-called Bay Area is this Testament. Its formation dates back to 1983. At the time, it was called Legacy, and Steve Zetro Sousa was the frontman. In 1986, Steve was taken out by Exodus, and later vocalist Chuck Billy joined. Since there was a jazz band with the same name, they changed their name to Testament and released their legendary first album on Megaforce in 1987. It was a time when the Bay Area scene was getting a lot of attention, and Testament quickly became a hugely popular band. After that, they continued to run on the front line of the metal scene without straying or disbanding even in the dark period of the 90s. Now, Testament's first album in five years has been released.

This work is titled "Para Bellum". Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson's elegant guitars, Steve DiGiorgio's technical bass, and Chuck's powerful roar. This time, of course, there is more thrash metal than everyone expected. The blast beat jumps out from the first song, giving a sense of more aggression than usual, but of course the melodic twin leads and ballad-oriented songs that are typical of them are still alive and well. Even though they have been active for over 40 years, their momentum knows no bounds!

★As a bonus disc, the early masterpieces "The Legacy" and "The New Order" from the 23rd performance in Japan are included.

The second day of the 2023 performance in Japan, where super special sets limited to ``The Legacy'' (1987) and ``The New Order'' (1988) were performed. A super special version limited to Japan, bundled with a CD/Blu-ray that includes footage from that day!
