Ronnie Romero is probably the most notable vocalist in the heavy metal world right now. After being discovered by Ritchie Blackmore and selected as the frontman of Rainbow, he has proven his ability with numerous bands including the Michael Schenker Group, Vandenberg, Destinia, and even Elegant Weapons with Ritchie Faulkner (Judas Priest).

Ronnie will be releasing a new solo album, ``Backbone.'' For him, who just released his live work ``Live At Rock Imperium Festival'' in May, this work is an important piece that shows a further leap forward. Ronnie has this to say about this work: "First of all, I have to thank my good friend Russ Ballard! I wanted to incorporate our Rainbow connections into a song, so I approached him and he immediately agreed, resulting in a great song called 'Hideaway.' Plus, the co-writing with Roy Z, and the incredible guitar solo that Key Marcello played on the song with Russ... When you're surrounded by great people, songwriting just flows so naturally."

In addition, guitarist Jose Rubio participated in songwriting and was in charge of mixing and mastering. Ronnie proudly says, ``The sound has evolved greatly from the previous work.''

All the songs, filled with overwhelming singing ability and inspiration, show Ronnie's true character. This work can be said to be a dignified statement that determines that he is the most important singer in the modern metal/hard rock scene.
