A solo album with gorgeous guest appearances by Rick Hughes, who is famous as the singer of Canadian metal band SWORD!

Formed in 1980, SWORD is an orthodox Canadian metal band that left a big impression on fans around the world by releasing their first album "Metalized" in 1986 and second album "Sweet Dreams" in 1988. After reuniting in 2011, they released their long-awaited original album "III" (2022), which followed the same path, and attracted a lot of attention from metal enthusiasts. SWORD's signature singer Rick Hughes will release his first solo album since 2016.

``Redemption'' is their first album aimed at English-speaking countries, rather than their previous albums aimed at French-speaking countries, and is more melodic, focusing on vocals and story, and is a hard rock work that can appeal to the world in many ways. It is also worth mentioning that a variety of luxurious guests are participating. There's no METAL fan who won't be moved to tears after watching the music video for The Who's cover of "The Real Me," featuring Brad Gillis (guitar), Rudy Sarzo (bass), and Tommy Aldridge (dr.), the three members of Ozzy Osbourne's "Speak Of The Devil," which was released on YouTube and made headlines earlier. In addition, fellow countryman Lee Aaron (vocals), former DOORS member Robbie Krieger (guitar), and guitarist Jacob Deraps of the Canadian band DERAPS, which is reminiscent of the early Van Halen band that has become a hot topic in Japan, also participated and gave a wonderful performance!

The album was produced by John Webster, who worked with Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe, at Hipposonic Studio in Vancouver, Canada. A masterpiece containing wonderful singing and songs backed by Rick Hughes' ability and career is finally released!
