2026 will be a memorable year for Crystal Lake, Japan's leading metalcore band. Their long-awaited seventh full-length album, "The Weight of Sound," was released worldwide today on Century Media Records. This album contains 11 songs that fully express the band's dynamic, innovative, and powerful emotions. This album will also be the first album for vocalist John, who joined the band in 2023.

In addition, guest artists such as David Simonich, Jesse Leach, Myke Terry, Taylor Barber, and Karl Schubach will also appear. Going beyond their previous musical style, they expertly combine razor-sharp metalcore riffs, overwhelming deathcore elements, atmospheric electronics, and mesmerizing melodic phrasing to create one of the most ambitious and expansive records of all time.

Along with the release of the album, a new music video for the first song "Everblack (feat. David Simonich)" has also been released.

"This album is a direct reflection of the ups and downs of my life, and it's more personal than any of my previous albums. Many of the lyrics are interconnected, and although it can't be called a concept album, it depicts my life like a poetic diary. I got so emotional when writing the lyrics that I even shed tears. That's how much I chose my words with real heart. I hope you enjoy it."

Crystal Lake, who has released the strongest album in history, will perform at BLARE FEST. 2026, where she was suddenly announced, and will perform on a European tour with Miss May I, FURIOUS WORLD FEST 2026, DEAD POP FESTiVAL, ARABAKI ROCK FEST, KITAKAZE ROCK FES, and an Australian tour with OF MICE & MEN. There are still unannounced tours coming up, and we will continue to move forward both domestically and internationally!
The new Crystal Lake appeared on LOUD PARK 25. With the addition of new vocalist John, they continue to captivate audiences around the world with their relentless and overwhelming stage performances. ``The Weight of Sound'' is their seventh new album and their first full album since signing with Century Media Records in 2024. Featuring guest appearances from Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), David Simonich (Signs of the Swarm), Taylor Barber (Seven Hours After Violet), Mike Terry (Fire from the Gods, Volumes), and Carl Schubach (Misery Signals), Crystal Lake shines in its diversity while retaining its core sound. Jeff Dune (Knocked Loose, Make Them Suffer, Currents) is in charge of mixing and mastering this album.
