Fully produced by K.K. Downing!Tailgunner is a British heavy metal band. Formed around the summer of 2018, centered around bassist Tom Hewson. In 2022, he released the ``Crashdive'' EP and signed a contract with Fireflash Records. In 2023, he made his album debut with "Guns for Hire". Their straightforward competition with traditional heavy metal without any gimmicks became a hot topic, and as a result, they caught the attention of the major label Napalm Records. Now, they have released their second album, ``Midnight Blitz.''

Continuing from the previous work, this work pursues "heavy metal that lives in the present", while inheriting the NWOBHM tradition, and is not a rehash of the past. What's most noteworthy is that K.K. Downing is the producer. Tailgunner left a strong impression as a support act for KK's Priest, and that connection developed into this collaboration. K.K. praises them, saying, ``This is a band that should have appeared from the UK sooner.They embody everything about heavy metal.''

Tom describes Tailgunner's style as "heavy metal inspired by Helloween, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, King Diamond, and of course Judas Priest," and this album retains that "100% pure heavy metal" spirit. The vocals of Craig Cairns, who also sang in Induction led by Tim Hansen, are also really powerful. Pure heavy metal with melodies that demand a big chorus, epic riffs straight from Maiden, and occasional thrashy aggressiveness.
