Joel Hoekstra's solo project

He is in high demand with various bands and releases his 4th album.

Joel Hoekstra was born in December 1970 in Iowa. He had been playing instruments such as the piano since childhood, but was inspired by AC/DC's Angus Young's guitar playing and began his career as a guitarist.

Joel, who primarily works as a session musician and released three solo albums in the 2000s, first gained attention in 2008 when he became the guitarist for NIGHT RANGER.

Since then, while continuing to be the guitarist for NIGHT RANGER, he has also continued his activities as a session musician. In 2014, he left NIGHT RANGER and joined WHITESNAKE. He reigns as one of the top guitarists in the current hard rock world.

In parallel with his activities with WHITESNAKE and session, Joel has started his own solo project, JOEL HOEKSTRA'S 13.

This 4th album features frontman Girish Pradhan (Vo), Vinny Appice (Ds) who was active with BLACK SABBATH and DIO, Tony Franklin (B) known for his work with THE FIRM and BLUE MURDER, Derek Sherinian (Key) of DREAM THEATER, and Jeff Scott Thought (Backing Vo).
