Lightning Strikes is a heavy metal band based in Los Angeles on the West Coast of the United States. The band was active from 1984 to 1987, led by drummer Karpis Maksudian, but stopped without releasing any albums. 24 years later, the band made a comeback in 2011, and finally released their self-titled debut album in 2016.

This lineup includes LEATHERWOLF's guitarist Rob Mass, guest vocals include Tony Martin and Derek Sherinian (key), and with Roy Z in the mix, the album gained a lot of attention, reaching the import chart in Japan with its world-class production. 10 years later, the long-awaited 2nd album is finally released!

For this album, leader Karpis, who has a deep knowledge of Japanese metal, asked Norifumi Shima of CONCERTO MOON, who he himself is a big fan of, to play the guitar, and he readily agreed to participate fully! The entire album features wonderful guitar solos that are truly his style! Furthermore, bassists include Yngwie, Michael Schenker, and Barry Sparks, who is familiar from B'Z! Showcasing a play with a strong presence! Derek, who was a guest in the previous album, also participated again and performed some melodic phrases. It has the appearance of a super band. The songs are a fusion of emotional classic metal and stylized guitar, and are full of songs that fans will be drooling over! A powerful album that has received a lot of attention has been completed!
