Evermore, who are dominating the Swedish melodic/power metal scene, have completed their third album, Mournbraid, which can be called their masterpiece. This work uses dynamic vocals, aggressive guitar riffs, and overwhelmingly beautiful melodies as its weapons, and its charm is amplified to the maximum with precise and profound production. Their previous album, ``In Memoriam'' (2023), was highly acclaimed in Japan after their first album ``Court of the Tyrant King'', as it had a greater sense of scale and melodic depth, and became a piece that established the band's direction. ``In Memoriam'' uses a profound sound and choir-like arrangements, and is said to have achieved a dramatic evolution in both song structure and expressiveness.

This release, ``Mournbraid,'' further advances this evolution, further refining their unique songwriting that perfectly combines passion and melody. Each of the songs on the album tells a different story, dramatically expressing the conflicts and challenges of life and the subtleties of individual emotions. EVERMORE's music has always placed emphasis on a "deep resonance" with the listener, and this work remains consistent with "Mournbraid," offering a new power metal experience that allows the listener to overlay their own experiences and emotions through the songs. On the production side, recording was done at MWC Studios, produced/mixed by Marcus ā€œMackanā€ Alfsson, and mastered by Svante (Chartmakers West). The powerful yet well-defined sound fully brings out the dynamism and lyricism of the songs. This is a masterpiece that fuses the exhilaration of power metal with the depiction of the human inner world at a high level, solidifying their evolution and clearly carving out the band's current location.
