CyHra is a melodic metal band from Sweden. Formed in 2016 by Jake E (ex-Amaranthe) and Jesper Strömblad (ex-In Flames), they quickly gained attention for their sound that fuses modern metal with melodic hooks. Their debut album “Letters To Myself” in 2017 received high praise for its emotional songs and catchy chorus. Through the production of ``No Halos In Hell'' in 2020 and ``The Vertigo Trigger'' in 2023, they have solidified their identity as a band. In particular, the songwriting and expressiveness of central figure Jake E deepens with each work, and continues to clearly indicate the direction of the band. Meanwhile, Jesper Strömblad continues to play an important role as a songwriter, supporting their musical foundation.

This time, they have transferred to Reigning Phoenix Music. The long-awaited new album will be released. Titled ``Requiem For A Pipe Dream,'' this album marks an important turning point for the band. The content is extremely emotional, centering around the themes of ``things that are lost'' and ``the will to move forward despite this.'' The contrasting concepts of "Requiem" and "Pipe Dream" (a dream that seems unlikely to come true) intertwine, and the structure that runs through the entire album is that new strength and meaning are born from the gap between them. Each song takes the listener on a deep inner journey, painstakingly depicting the emotional arc of doubt, anger, loss, acceptance, and rebirth. A fusion of heavy riffs, driving rhythms, and expansive melodies, achieving a high level of dynamism and lyricism unique to modern metal. This approach, which depicts the amplitude of emotion itself as a sonic image, is pushing the band's expressive power further than ever before.

``Requiem For A Pipe Dream'' is more than just a new album, it is an important work that shows how the band CyHra redefined themselves while facing difficulties. This album, which is centered around the strength of continuing to stand up despite wavering, marks the beginning of a new chapter in their career, and at the same time is a piece that has a solid presence in the modern metal scene.
