Bloodhunter is a melodic death metal band from Spain. Formed in 2008, they initially rose to prominence with their aggressive sound based on thrash/death metal. Having made their name widely known with their debut album Bloodhunter in 2014 and The End of Faith in 2017, the band has gained a stronger presence, especially since the addition of frontwoman Diva Satanica, and has established a firm foothold in the European metal scene with a style that combines intensity and melody. Since then, they have continued to evolve through live activities and production, deepening their own sound while overcoming challenges such as changes in members and changes in the scene. While incorporating darker and more introspective themes, the musical style shifted to a stronger contrast between brutality and lyricism.

Bloodhunter will be releasing a new album. Entitled Sons of the Abandoned, it's their most personal and grooviest work to date. For the first time, he takes a head-on look inside, openly portraying themes of self-conflict, identity, disillusionment, and personal suffering. As the album title suggests, the story told from the perspective of the "forsaken" also symbolizes the loneliness and resistance of humans living in modern society.

Musically, while maintaining the foundation of traditional extreme metal, they have introduced sharper melodies and heavier grooves, further highlighting the contrast between brutality and beauty. Each song approaches the listener with a powerful message, such as "The Outspoken," which has the strength of a manifesto, "Threshold of Hell," which carries an anti-war message, and the title song, "Sons of the Abandoned," which expresses intergenerational anxiety and anger.

Additionally, Laura Guldemond (Burning Witches) makes a guest appearance on this album, adding new color to the album. ``Sons of the Abandoned'' is an important work that expands the boundaries of extreme metal that Bloodhunter has built up until now, and at the same time presents their inner world more clearly than ever before, and can be said to be a symbol of a new phase for the band.
