Kerry King has been a leader in the thrash metal scene for over 40 years as Slayer's guitarist. Slayer's disbandment in 2019 was a major event that shook the entire heavy metal world. (However, Slayer has since resumed live performances, albeit sporadically.) Meanwhile, Kelly has formed a new band that bears his name. The drummer is Paul Bostaph, an ally from the Slayer era, the bassist is Hellyeah's Kyle Sanders, the lead guitarist is Phil Demmel of Machine Head and Vio-lence fame, and the vocalist is Death Angel's Mark Osegueda, all of whom represent the US thrash world. Their debut album ``From Hell I Rise'', released in 2024, received a great response due to its completeness that far exceeded expectations.

Now, their debut work ``From Hell I Rise'' is back as a deluxe edition. This deluxe edition features a new album cover and a new layout with many photos. Another highlight is the 5 demo sound sources that have been added as bonus tracks. Surprisingly, Kerry King herself is in charge of vocals on these demos. The opportunity to hear the voice of the man who has supported Slayer for so many years in such an authentic manner is extremely rare, and is definitely a must-listen for fans.
