As one of the most representative bands of the 1980s American hard rock scene, Tesla has continued to have a unique presence for many years. Formed in 1981 as City Kidd in Sacramento, California, they later changed their name to Tesla, after inventor Nikola Tesla. Although they debuted during the heyday of glam/hair metal, they set themselves apart from their contemporaries by emphasizing real performance and a sound rooted in blues and classic rock over flashy visuals. 1986 debut album
``Mechanical Resonance'' produced hits such as ``Modern Day Cowboy'' and ``Little Suzi,'' and instantly became a hot topic in the scene. Their next album, ``The Great Radio Controversy'' in 1989, saw the band's biggest success with ``Love Song,'' which dominated the US charts. Although they went on hiatus for a while in the late 1990s, they revived in the 2000s. He continues to be active in his activities to this day. Tesla is releasing a new album.
``Homage'' is his first studio album in 7 years. This work has the meaning of returning to its roots, summarizing the band's long career.
