MISTY GREEN was formed in 2018 by Hidenobu Egashira, with the concept of songs with roots in the 1970s British hard rock and the early days of NMWOBHM, with modern spice added. The band performed at "Masters of Rock" held in Nagoya in May 2019 the following year and made its debut. However, after that, the group's activities were temporarily suspended due to the withdrawal of members one after another. Just when he was about to give up on MISTY GREEN's continued existence, he received an invitation from his old friend Hitoshi Ichiko to participate in a studio session. There, I met Ryo Koyatsu (formerly of Blind Witch). The band was restarted with support from Ichifuru and Kotani, who was impressed by MISTY GREEN's songs. After about a year of reversals, he has been working on brushing up his existing songs and creating new songs. After that, vocalist Yukimasa Hirashima joined the group through an audition, and the songs matured through repeated live appearances. However, Ichifuru's support will end in November 2022. They were forced to look for a new bassist, and continued their live activities with the help of a support bassist. Hisaya Saegusa will join as an official member in July 2024. In conjunction with his appearance on "Ring of Fire Vol.029" in February 2025, two songs "King Of The Darkness" and "Never Know It" will be released as digital singles. After that, I started working on the album.

The first album ``In Search of The Weeds'' is characterized by a doomy, stoner sound that MISTY GREEN plays with a modern taste, inspired by 70's British hard rock and early NWOBHM.It is an album with addictive riffs that crawl around in your brain and make you trip, similar to vintage rock and psychedelic rock.
