SINNER was formed in 1982 by bassist/vocalist Matt Sinner. Along with Accept and Scorpions, they are one of the important bands that supported the golden age of German hard rock/heavy metal. In the 1980s, he released works such as “Danger Zone,” “Touch Of Sin,” and “Comin’ Out Fighting.” They gained popularity with their melodious yet robust hard rock sound. After that, Matt Sinner continued his activities while overcoming the grunge boom and heavy metal winter era, and became a representative of the German metal world through Primal Fear, Rock Meets Classic, and numerous production projects. SINNER has been active at the forefront of the music scene for over 40 years, and even in the latter stages of their career they have received high praise, with their 2022 album "Brotherhood" reaching number 12 on the German album chart.
SINNER has finally announced their final studio album, ``Boom Bang Goodbye.'' This work is not just a new work. This is a work that can be called the culmination of the long history of the band SINNER. Matt Sinner, who recently made a miraculous comeback after overcoming a serious illness, began producing this work in order to sum up his career. A grand finale was created with the participation of many musicians, from old friends who have colored SINNER's history to current allies.
At the center of this album are guitarist Alex Scholp and drummer Moritz Müller, who have supported Matt for many years. And the guests are truly gorgeous. Former SINNER guitarist Matthias Diet, as well as Primal Fear's Magnus Karlsson and Jim Müller, will be joining in. In addition, the vocals include Michael Borman, Ronnie Romero, Saga's Michael Sadler, Soilwork's Bjorn "Speed" Strijd, Eclipse's Erik Mortenson, and other singers representing the hard rock/metal world.
The 11 songs included reflect the long history of SINNER. A natural fusion of the charm of orthodox hard rock inherited from the 80's, the strength of melodic metal, and the modern depth shown in recent works. Every song is imbued with Matt Sinner's melancholy and strength.
