SHA-BOOM, which appeared in the late 80's and played a part in Scandinavian melodic hard rock, has made a spectacular comeback after 20 years! !
SHA-BOOM was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1987. In 1988, they dashed onto the scene with their debut album ``R.O.C.K'' released by major label WEA and achieved great success. With the release of their second album “Let’s Party” in 1990, they showed momentum approaching the mainstays of the scene at the time, such as EUROPE, TREAT, STAGE DOLLS, etc., but were swept away by the rise of grunge/alternative rock in the early 1990s, and the band curtailed their activities and eventually went silent.
Following the release of their best album in 2002, they released their third album ``The Race Is On'' in 2005, featuring founder Doug Finn (Vo) and guest appearances such as Tommy Denander and Key Marcello. Since then, their music has continued to be loved by fans for a long time, but 20 years later, Doug Finn has once again released a new work as SHA-BOOM!
This album was produced and mixed by Erik Mortenson of ECLIPSE, a key figure in the current Nordic melodic rock scene. Furthermore, as a member, he plays guitar and bass, contributing greatly to the band's revival.
Starting with the first song "Never Stop", which became the lead single, the entire album explodes with melodic 80's style arena rock style with no questions asked! Doug himself says, ``This album is the perfect combination of melodic elements and stadium rock energy. Let's keep rocking!'' This is truly a declaration of complete recovery!
In addition, Thomas Wikström (CANDLEMASS, THERION, etc.), who has been friends with Doug for many years and has guested on past albums, and his daughter Linnea Wikström, who is also known for her work in THUNDERMOTHER in recent years, will be joining as backing vocalists!
