This is the best stereo audience recording of the June 23, 1992 concert in Dortmund, Germany. This is also the first time that this master has been released in Japan, and it has been kept secret for a very long time by the source provider. As you can hear, the sound quality is extremely clear throughout the entire performance, and the balance between the various instruments and vocals is exquisite. This concert was the last leg of the "Unplugged Europe Tour," which began in the middle of the previous month following a UK tour and a short American tour earlier that year, and included a double bill concert with Elton John, a close friend of the band. Clapton, who had been quiet since the shock of his son's accidental death the previous year, returned to the scene in earnest with an appearance on MTV's "Unplugged" earlier that year. Clapton's strong wah-wah pedal stomping performance after the opening "White Room" was enough to show that he was at the top of his game on this day. Unlike the previous "Journeyman Tour" in 1990, this was the first tour to feature a mid-set acoustic set, which has been continued to this day. In a sense, Clapton's thoughts and feelings came to be incorporated into this part of the show. In this part, you can hear Clapton's performance of "Tears In Heaven," which is now a sealed classic. The volume of this part, which is normally lowered, is kept at a comfortable level in this recording. Another attractive point is that the set list has been drastically changed since the last tour, including "Anything For Your Love," which was performed for the first time on this tour and Clapton played it all over again, and "She's Waiting," which is played with a nuance closer to the original version but with a bold solo structure. 's Waiting," which is played with a nuance more similar to the original version but with a bolder solo structure. The audience is all around the recordist singing along to "Wonderful Tonight," and this does not detract from the performance, but rather gives a realistic impression of the mood of the venue on the day of the show. The free jam part in the middle of "Sunshine Of Your Love" is also a must-listen. The tour also features the addition of veteran musicians Andy Fairweather Lowe (formerly of Amen Corner) on second guitar, a departure from the Japan tour with George Harrison in late 1991, and Chuck Revell (formerly of the Allman Brothers Band) on keyboards, a departure from the same tradition, Ray Cooper, formerly of the Elton John Band, was the first to officially join the band on percussion. This disc, which combines sound and playback quality at a high level, is representative of this tour in the sense that it is the first and exquisite collaboration between Clapton and the band, who provided excellent support for the tour. This disc is a representative of the tour. Live at Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany 23rd June 1992 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (71:31) 1. Pretending 4.
